What is the purpose of a dental x-ray?
X-rays give us an in-depth look at the status of your teeth that traditional assessment simply cannot, and enables us to identify issues long before they become serious.
What are the benefits?
With the use of X-ray technology hidden abnormalities such as wisdom teeth, decay, or bone loss become apparent, and can he dealt with as soon as possible to prevent a more complex procedure from having to be undertaken.
Is there any risk?
Dental x-rays have one of the lowest radiation levels of their type, typically as little as you’d get from a normal day. While there is no risk we still take all necessary precautions, such as a lead apron to protect areas which are not being tested.
